Venice is one of those cities that transforms itself from day to night. A walk around the city in the evening is very different than during the daytime and usually there are many less tourists as well. It is a city full of magic and wonder and really breathes at night. A stroll through St. Mark's Square with it's cafes and musicians, a late night gondola ride with the city and it's twinkling chandeliers from Palazzo's to light the way, an evening dressed up to go to the opera or a tour discovering some of the spookiness of the cities former inhabitants can make your time in Venice even more special...
Venice Nightlife Unfortunately Venice doesn’t have alot to offer for nightlife, but if you look hard enough you can always find something to do. There are a few bars and restaurants that stay open ‘til Midnight and later and this is where you will meet up with some of the locals and tourists and young people looking for fun. Then if you feel a bit more adventurous you can always head over to the Lido in the summer where you have bars open on the beach in the evening. But only during the summer season.
